DREAMERS is about two kids who grow up chasing a dream to one day fly in space. As adults, they work together to design a revolutionary spacecraft to travel to the moon, but must overcome crashes, boardroom politics and other obstacles that threaten their ultimate goal. Will they succeed? Or will they be forced to shelve that dream and finally face the realities of adult life?

On November 11, 2012 at about 9:40am ET I launched a weather balloon with a payload of two GoPro HD Hero2 cameras from Mt. Greylock in western Massachusetts. It reached an estimated altitude of 15.7mi, or more than 82,000ft, traveling more than 70 miles east during the course of its 2 hour flight. The payload was recovered intact near Athol, MA.

The first picture is a view south towards New London, CT and Montauk, NY; the second picture is looking straight into space as the balloon burst, with the orange parachute and carabiner attachment to the payload visible; the third picture is directly over the Quabbin Reservoir on descent.

The footage will be used for my upcoming MFA thesis film at Boston University. Many thanks to Oleg, Jim and Dave for their help on this incredible project.
